Introduction

Halo is a commissioned installation by Volvo for the 2020 Salone del Mobile in Milan. Working in collaboration with a sound artist we developed an intimate listening space in which audience members are exposed to an immersive aural experience. The project is a performative centre piece for a series of events at the Volvo Studio Milano as well as a standalone sculptural element. The design consists of a 7.5m long fibreglass structure delicately balanced upon steel frames. The project aims to create an otherworldly and purely escapist experience through minimal and fantastical design.
