Volvo Halo

Introduction

Halo is a commissioned installation by Volvo for the 2020 Salone del Mobile in Milan. In collaboration with a sound artist, we created an intimate listening space that immerses audience members in a captivating aural experience. Serving as both a performative centrepiece for a series of events at the Volvo Studio Milano and a standalone sculptural element, the design features a 7.5-meter-long fibreglass structure elegantly balanced on steel frames. The project aims to evoke an otherworldly and purely escapist experience through its minimalistic and fantastical design.
